Selling On-Line

The traditional model of sales can be made to work effectively on the internet. However on-line sales are often for goods which can not be visually inspected. Thus the analogy of a mail order catalog is perhaps more appropriate. There are techniques that can offset some of these concerns, such as warranty, reputation, accurate descriptions and photographs, which work in tandem to produce buyer confidence. On-line sales in volume is a process and should not be an amalgamation of HTML which is cut and pasted. At E-Ventis we espouse the view that placing photos and descriptions of items on-line for sale is an administrative process, which should be as simple as uploading an image, filling out a form and creating an accurate paragraph description of the item. Your staff need not know more technical information. In other words it should be simple.
